NANA KUGBEADZOR-BAKATEYI II
Nana Kugbeadzor-Bakateyi II is the Regional Director of Education for Oti and the Dean for Regional Directors of Education, Ghana. She is a multifaceted professional with a rich background in education and a passion for women and girls' empowerment. Her 24-year career in the Ghana Education Service spans teaching at various levels, including the celebrated role as an English language tutor at Mawuli School where she authored an English Language Textbook in 2004 titled "Rudiments of English Comprehension and Summary for Senior High Schools". Graduating with First Class Honors from the University of Ghana in 2004, she was recognized as the Overall Best Graduating Student in Humanities, receiving the prestigious British-American Tobacco Prize. She later obtained a Master's degree in Adult Education from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2011. Ahead of becoming a Regional Director, she served as the Acting Regional Director for Oti, District Director for Afadzato South, Volta Regional Girls’ Education Officer, and Municipal/District Girls’ Education Officer in the Volta Region.
In 2016, she was enstooled Queenmother for Likpe Gudeve-Abrani in the Guan District of the Oti Region. She is not only an accomplished professional but a devoted advocate for women and girls' empowerment, evident in her past roles as Women and Development Coordinator in the Ho Diocese between 1995 to 2000. Known for her approachability, knowledge, and analytical acumen, she stands as a beacon of excellence in education and community service.
