Prempeh College tops all in the Robofest World Championships, Unknown Mission Challenge (UMC) 2024. Congratulations to the entire Prempeh College fraternity on participating in and excelling at the Robofest World Championships, which just ended in Michigan, USA. Prempeh College’s UMC Team participated in both the Unknown Mission Challenge and the Game Category.
For the Unknown Mission Challenge, the team demonstrated exceptional ingenuity and achieved a perfect score, placing them first and making them global winners! Again, Prempeh College’s Game Category Team participated in the Game Category. They achieved a perfect score in both rounds alongside a team from Taiwan. A time tiebreaker awarded the win to Taiwan, securing Prempeh College a well-deserved second place.
Management applauds the entire Prempeh College, under the leadership of the Headmaster, Very Rev. Lewis Asare, students, all teaching and non-teaching staff, and especially the Coach of the Prempeh College Robotics Team, Mr Kwame Owusu Opoku, for their outstanding performance.
The good news is that Lawrence Technological University (TU) has awarded a merit-based scholarship in recognition of their exceptional performance: $80,000 USD for each member of the UMC Team and $64.000 USD for each member of the Game Team
